Elevators electrostatic painting

Elevators

Elevator doors and lobby panels are some of the most visible metal surfaces in any building. Residents, tenants, and visitors see them every day. Over time, the factory finish on elevator doors becomes scratched, dented, and dull from constant use. Replacing elevator doors is expensive and requires specialized installation. Electrostatic painting refinishes the existing doors on-site, restoring a clean and uniform appearance at a fraction of the replacement cost.

What we do

Elevators

We paint elevator doors, elevator frames, and surrounding lobby panels in condominiums, office buildings, hotels, and residential towers. Our electrostatic process produces a smooth, consistent finish across all floors so that every elevator landing looks the same. We schedule the work to minimize disruption, typically painting one or two floors at a time while the elevator remains operational for other floors.

Benefits

Uniform finish across all floors. Whether the building has 5 or 50 floors, every elevator door receives the same even coat, maintaining a consistent appearance throughout the property.

Fraction of the cost of door replacement. New elevator doors require custom fabrication and specialized installation. Electrostatic painting renews the existing doors at a significantly lower cost.

Minimal disruption to building operations. We work floor by floor and can schedule painting during low-traffic hours. The elevator can continue operating on other floors while we work on a specific landing.

Step by step

Our process

01

Surface cleaning and scratch treatment

We clean the elevator doors and panels of fingerprints, scuffs, and grime. Deep scratches and dents are addressed with light filling and sanding to create a smooth base for the new coating.

02

Masking the elevator opening and lobby

We mask the elevator interior, the track, call buttons, indicators, and the surrounding lobby walls and floor. Only the door faces and frame trim are left exposed for painting.

03

Electrostatic application floor by floor

We apply the electrostatic paint to each elevator landing in sequence. After coating, we inspect under lobby lighting for even coverage and color match with the other floors. Masking is removed cleanly once the paint has set.
