Railings
Railings on staircases, patios, and pool decks serve both safety and visual roles in a property. When the paint is chipped, faded, or rusted, the railing becomes an eyesore rather than a design feature. Electrostatic painting coats every bar, joint, and weld point with a uniform layer that traditional brush painting struggles to achieve, especially on curved and spiral designs where consistent coverage is difficult.
Railings
We paint interior and exterior railings of all types: straight staircases, spiral staircases, pool perimeter railings, patio railings, and decorative railings. The electrostatic charge directs paint around curved balusters and into the joints where bars meet posts. We mask adjacent surfaces including stairs, walls, floors, and pool decking so that only the metal railing receives paint. The result is a smooth finish with no brush marks or drip lines.

Benefits
Even coverage on curved and spiral railings. The charged particles follow the contours of the metal, coating round balusters and tight curves that are notoriously difficult to paint by hand.
Suitable for pool and outdoor areas. Railings near pools and patios are exposed to moisture, chlorine splash, and sun. The electrostatic finish bonds firmly to the metal and resists these environmental factors.
Clean result on interior railings. Inside the home, the electrostatic process produces minimal overspray and odor compared to conventional spray painting, making it practical for occupied interiors.
Our work

Before and after
Before
AfterOur process
Surface prep and rust treatment
We clean the railing and sand or wire-brush any areas with rust, flaking paint, or rough welds. For exterior railings, we pay particular attention to joints and base plates where water tends to collect and cause corrosion.
Masking stairs, floors, and walls
We cover stair treads, risers, adjacent walls, and floors with protective sheeting. For pool area railings, we mask the surrounding deck material. This protects all non-metal surfaces from receiving any paint.
Electrostatic coating and final check
We apply the electrostatic paint in methodical passes, working from top to bottom on vertical sections. After the full railing is coated, we walk the entire length checking for even coverage, especially at joints and weld points where paint can be thin.
